Genital herpes is a common sexually transmitted infection (STI) brought on by the herpes simplex virus (HSV). Both types can cause sores on the genitals, buttocks, or thighs. The majority of infected with HSV will experience no symptoms or only mild ones. A significant number of may have outbreaks that present painful blisters, sores, and flu-like
